Because the writing for the text wasn't clear I changed the font to arial

WILL THIS BE MY FINAL PRODUCT OR WILL I IMPROVE AND MAKE CHANGES ?

For the advert I started with a black A4 background and made it portrait. I then screen grabbed a picture for the album to put on the poster

Then I screen grabbed the artist name and title that is on my CD cover

I added the date the album comes out in red writing so it stands out

I put in logos of the different shops and websites that you can buy the album from and also the record labels

I felt like the advertisement needed more so i added a review and extra promotional techniques of number 1 singles and hit records

Changing my poster from portrait to landscape.

This is my first attempt of creating my poster howeverI decided to change my poster from portrait to lanscape as I thought it would be easier to layout my images.

-Starting to create final poster

IN THE PROCESS OF WORKING ON THE ADVERTISEMENT.

My inspiration for digipak

As you can see this is where I got the inspiration for the different colours and the artist pose. Also the lines.
As you can see this is how i wanted my back cover too look. Simple but not boring

Also the cd has the album name and artist on it as mine does. It follows the same type of text and colour

More Digipak

Doing the inside cover was quick and simple. I used a black background once again and made a cd shape. Then cropped out another picture and added shadows on the pic to make it look slick

I then went on quark again and added a dedication for the album and titles to put on the CD

Benifits of anciallry products

Digital piracy, although negatively altering the recorded music market, has a positive impact on other segments of the music market as a whole such as live music, ancillary goods including ringtones, etc., since it generates a positive externality benefting to those downstream activities. Through a two players strategic game between a record company and an artist, we show that a renegotiation of music contracts could allow to internalize this positive externality, while being welfare improving for both record companies and artists. We also show however that pervasive piracy is not systematically desirable for an artist.

There is a negative effect of piracy on music sales with two potential positive effects: a network effect, that increases legal demand for a widely pirated product and, above all, a sampling effect, that prompts some consumers to purchase a legal copy of a product they already get for free in a low quality pirated version. The positive effects of piracy and more widely of the digitization of music are either partial, when favouring emerging artists at the detrimental of "stars.

  • Above is a source I found on the internet, I choose to use it on the Blog because I found it interesting as it explains the positive and negative effects of Digital piracy for artists and music companies.
